From Ubisoft's Far Cry 5 forum (04-08-2018): Players having problems to launch game after patch (FC 5). Answer from Ubisoft: "Hey guys, if you are experiencing this issue, please try deleting the folder located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache" I had the same problem when playing FC 5 Beta after Ubisoft patched it. I reinstalled Far Cry 4 on Steam a few days ago to play with a friend who got in on sale, this issue only started yesterday, I've tried many different things to fix it. A list of thee things I've done. - Uninstalling and reinstalling Far Cry, - Restarting my PC. - Uninstalling and reinstalling UPlay launcher. uplay works perfectly here and there are over 3000 ppl in game right now on steam alone again Steam is not the primary digitital distribution outlet for FarCry 3 4 Primal and far cry 5 Uplay is dunno if you are aware but STEAM itself is DRM valve charges a publisher a % of each sale to distribute games on Steam Rename FarCry2.exe to FarCry2Game.exe. Rename the Multi-Fix launcher to FarCry2.exe. In your steam library there's a listing on the left. right click on the game and select properties. Path should look something like this: "-exe [Drive] :\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 2\bin\FarCry2.exe". AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT (sienna_cichlid, LLVM 13.0.1, DRM 3.44, 5.17.5-76051705-generic) AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core. Very light frame cuts once every 5-10s during more intense scenes, otherwise runs smoothly and without issues. Does not launch on CPUs with more than 12 Cores. I have a 5950X which has 16 Cores. So whenever I click play, a steam window pops up and says "preparing to launch Far Cry" as per usual but then nothing happens. Then the steam window pops up over and over again, as if the game is trying to launch but can't. I have already tried verifying my game files, but to no avail. Feb 3, 2016. #1. Alright, I've tried to fix this issue numerous times to no avail. Basically, for those who do not know, when using an Xbox controller (i've read that people experience these issues with other brands too) to play FC4, there are NUMEROUS game breaking problems. The game won't load elements correctly, quest progression is utterly Ubisoft updated the Ubisoft Connect version of the game and do not need to patch these altered .dlls anymore. To use the same fix on Steam version, I had to copy both .dlls and .exes from Ubisoft Connection installation folder into Steam's Blood Dragon installation folder. I was stuck with this issue for a few days and tried a lot of different solutions that come up in google searches. Ultimately what worked for me was running all of the installers in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon\Support and rebooting my PC. Then I was finally able to start Blood Dragon from Steam. Add uplay, then within uplay launch far cry 4. Steam overlay and broadcasting works! if you change your far cry steam shortcut to target: uplay://launch/420/0 the game will launch as it did before the patch. Unfortunately -skipintro still doesn't work. The game launches and if i alt+tab and look at steam i am ingame, but the overlay does not yGrNe.
