Even though Nusa Penida is on the tourist radar, it still feels largely pristine. Why you should visit Nusa Penida. Nusa Penida is spectacularly beautiful.. The southern and eastern coastlines are rugged with steep cliff sides offering drop-offs of hundreds of metres; full of viewpoints to white sandy coves with azure waters. 1. Visit Kelingking Beach. Source: Nattu Adnan via Unsplash. Located on the southwest coast of Nusa Penida, Kelingking Beach is a true gem of the island. The name “Kelingking” means pinkie finger in Indonesian, and the beach derives its name from the T-Rex-shaped cliff that resembles the form of a pinkie finger. Why visit Nusa Penida? Nusa Penida’s rugged, untouched beauty and lack of tourists are the main reasons people choose to visit. Stunning landscapes, sheer limestone cliffs leading to clean white sand beaches, you can drive for miles and only see lush rolling green valleys and tall trees – isn’t that what every adventurous nature lover seeks in a destination? Also, some of the most amazing pictures of Kelingking Beach and other Nusa Penida beaches made us take the plunge and choose a Nusa Penida day trip. Top tips for visiting Nusa Penida We found it to be much hotter on our Nusa Penida trip than Bali as there is no shade when visiting these locations. In Nusa penida our driver again another person named Kedak was equally helpful too. Both were courteous and knowledgeable about the place. These places are pristine and untouched, worth a visit by everyone who wants to enjoy raw nature. Overall this trip to Nusa penida was one of our best in lifetime experience. 8. Is it worth visiting Atuh Beach? Honestly, Atuh Beach was my favorite beach in Nusa Penida. It wasn’t crowded, the views were spectacular and there were plenty of places to explore. Another advantage is that Atuh Beach is located near a few other tourist attractions such as the Diamond Beach and the Tree House. Take photos at the Rumah Pohon Tree House – the view is worth a million dollars! Enjoy a sunset at Green Kubu – they have live music as well! Snorkel with manta rays at Manta Bay and Manta Point. Visit Tembeling Natural Pool, my favorite place in Nusa Penida. Check out Angel’s Billabong. There are not many accommodation options on Nusa Ceneginan, so we found it easier to base ourselves on Lembongan and travel from there. Nusa Lembongan is also only a short 25-minute boat ride away from Nusa Penida. The trip between Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan cost us 50,000 IDR a person to ride on a small local boat. 10. Is it worth visiting Crystal Bay Beach, Nusa Penida? Together with Atuh Beach and Diamond Beach, Crytal Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in Nusa Penida. It’s perfect for sunbathing, snorkeling and diving. It’s part of most guided tours on the island and I recommend visiting it even if you only have 1 day to explore Nusa Penida Is Nusa Penida worth visiting? 100% yes! With its distinctive limestones, spectacular viewpoints, mesmerising marine life, and unbelievably clear blue water, Nusa Penida is one of those rare places, the beauty of which is even better in real life. If you get the chance, you should definitely visit Nusa Penida at least once in your lifetime. jv6jDY.
